Who We Are

Independent tippers was formed 2000 initially to fill a void in the quarry demand and bulk haulage industries. It was formed initially as an arm of families business group thats humble beginnings go back to the family patriarchs migration to Australia in the 1950s from a still war torn Germany. The family settled in Melbourne and immediately moved into the construction equipment maintenance business, quickly building a solid reputation for new concepts, engineering know and commenced  constructing tipper bodies, concrete transit mixers, concrete batch plants and grew through the 1970s and 1980s to one of the largest businesss servicing this industry sector.

The family business diversified into and developed one of the first programmed maintenance service businesses for construction equipment in the 1970s as another facet of the business. In the early 1980s another business was created to cater to the newly emerging field of aluminium tipping body construction and maintenance, and became a leader in this field. In 2000 Independent Tippers was created after the groups numerous quarry maintenance clients were crying out for a reliable, quality on demand tipper fleet. The business was initially headed up by two brothers of the second generation of the family business and today is owned and run by one of them and from its humble beginnings has grown to over 50 units Australia wide and turns over 15m annually.
